I received my M.S.W and Ph.D from the University of Maryland, College of Social Work. I completed my cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, under the guidance of Dr. Arthur Freeman, a long-time clinician of Aaron Beck's (developer of CBT).
I went on for advanced training and supervision in the treatment of anxietydisorders with Dr. Sally Winston, a nationally recognized expert in the field of anxiety disorders. I also completed specialized training for OCD at the BehavioralTherapy Institute of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation.
I was recently featured on A & E's hit show, "Hoarders" and I will be on Discovery Channel's premier episode called "Hoarder: Buried Alive".
I am licensed as a clinical social worker and certified as a cognitive behavioral therapist. I have been in private practice for the last 12 years; first in Maryland and now inTennessee. I currently teach in the Master's program at the University of Tennessee,Memphis Campus. I teach Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Evidenced Based Practice for Children and Adolescents, and Evidenced Based Practice for Adult Individuals.
