Arianna has come a very long way...

We found out she had Selective Mutism at the age of three. At the time, we had her modeling in New York. I knew when I was pregnant with her, she was going to be a model and every job (go see) she went to, she got. It was great...

Jennifer Lopez personally picked Arianna out from a group of other kids and wanted her to be one of her top kid models for her clothing line. We took Arianna down to her office, and all she had to do was smile, well she didn't. She started to cry and act out like never before. There were people all around her telling her to smile and we thought this just made her nervous. We had no idea she had any kind of condition.

We then started to notice that when certain people would come around her, she would start to cry. I decided to take her out of modeling and enrolled her into school. I found out that she had this condition called "Selective Mutism" when she was five and I had no clue what this was or what to do.

It was the hardest time of my life. To have her come home crying everyday because something a child or teacher would do was really bad. 

​

After months of crying and feeling bad, I decided to do something about it. I started reading all I could about this condition, and came up with things the school and teacher(s) could try with Arianna. It started to work. I then came up with certain goal charts so I can know what she was doing in the classroom. 

​

Today, Arianna is doing great. She speaks to others, is about to start College, and helps other children, teens and adults with Selective Mutism.

And to my surprise, after 15 years of not modeling, she's now asking me if she can model. I'm very proud of her.
