Felicity Sapp
 

 

Dr. Dietrich completed her BA (Hons) and MA degrees in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC, Canada, and her PhD at the University of British Columbia. Her professional background includes crisis intervention, individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, psychological research, and teaching.

 

Dr. Dietrichs training and work experience has included work with the Forensic Psychiatric Institute, the New Westminster Clinic, the Vancouver Incest and Sexual Abuse Center, the R.C.M.P. Victim Assistance and Crisis Intervention teams, the Traumatology Institute at Florida State University, the Integrative Personality Program at Vancouver Hospital, the PTSD Clinic at Vancouver General, the Canadian Forces Mental Health Clinic, the Eating Disorders Clinic at St. Pauls Hospital, the Outpatient Psychiatry Department at Vancouver General Hospital, and the Correctional Services of Canada. She has taught Psychology at Simon Fraser University and at the University of British Columbia.

 

She has been involved with volunteer work since 1987, including lay counseling at the Boys and Girls Club; counseling on the crisis and teen crisis lines; Hospice counseling; Victim Assistance work; and coordination of the Block Parent Program; among others. She is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association; International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies; International Society for the Study of Dissociation; and American Psychological Association. Anne has served as the Treasurer and is currently Past-President of the Canadian Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.

 

Her current pro bono professional activities include the following: Past Chair of the Traumatic Stress section of the Canadian Psychological Association, reviewer for the Journal of Traumatic Stress, she sits on the editorial board for the Traumatology Journal, Chair of the Website Committee for the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, and is on the BC Psychological Association's Task Force on prescription privileges for psychologists in BC.
